Nicholas Hopton
Nicholas Hopton was born in Preston, Lancashire in 1979. After attending Kirkham Grammar School, he studied degrees in English and Education at The University of St. Andrews, Hughes Hall College, Cambridge and Clare College, Cambridge. Nicholas’ wide-ranging choral works have been performed by amateur and professional choirs across the United Kingdom. In December 2016, his arrangement of ‘Alleluia! A New Work is Come on Hand’ was among the finalists in the BBC Radio 3 Christmas Carol Competition. Nicholas has led choirs in Fife, Cambridge, Suffolk and Bedfordshire. He teaches at Bedford School.
