Keith Bartlett

Keith Bartlett graduated with honours from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1984.  Since that time he has pursued a highly successful career, performing and touring internationally with many of the country’s leading orchestras and ensembles.  He is particularly well known in the field of contemporary music, appearing on numerous CDs and broadcasting regularly for the B.B.C.

More recently Keith has relaxed his performing career and concentrated on teaching and composition.  He spent 22 years as Professor of Timpani and Percussion at the Royal College of Music Junior Department and currently holds teaching posts at Winchester College and Canford School amongst others.

To date he has more than 50 tutor books to his name with sales in over 20 countries.  His percussion pieces can be found on most of the major UK examination boards and from January 2014 ten of his pieces for clarinet, oboe and bassoon have been represented on the new ABRSM Woodwind syllabus.

He lives in Wimborne Minster, Dorset with his wife Carol and their daughters Polly and Helena.
