Joel Sachs (Juilliard School, New York) directs the American Contemporary Ensemble, an ensemble of young, highly talented UK-based musicians in a programme drawn from the celebrated American avant-gardists including John Cage, Morton Feldman and Earle Brown; plus ‘Wild Nights’, an Emily Dickinson setting, by American-born Stephen Montague, a Sussex resident. Part of the ‘Listen America!’ series.
